The TouchMe™ project, originally conceived by Anna Frants in 2002 and developed by Cyland , is a prototype of a virtual studio where individual artists’ works interact with one another other in a structured yet non-deterministic manner.
Video and sound artists from around the world contribute elements of
their visual vocabularies, which express their associations with
specific colors. The result is a work of art that dynamically blends
multiple images and sound tracks that are based on the color choice
made by the participating viewer.
To participate, sound artists should register and login at
www.touchmeweb.com. There, they can download videos of their choice,
create corresponding soundtracks and upload the results in the flash
(flv) format. The results will be demonstrated at the Chelsea Museum
starting on July13th, using the special Touchme demo software.
