June 6 Tony Widoff of Intelligent Music demonstrated "UpBeat," "M," "Jam Factory," and "The Mapper" from Axcess. June 13 Wayne Cobham, composer/producer, presented "Master Tracks Pro" and the MIDI/Time Code interface by Passport and the Akai MPC60 MIDI Production Center. October 24 "Turbosynth" and "Q-Sheet A/V": Demonstration of new Digidesign software for the Macinstosh computer. November 7 George Johnson of Soundsmith presented Integrated Audio Systems "Dyaxis" digital audio processor and "MacMix" editing software. November 14 Demonstration of "Finale," the score-making software. November 21 Demonstration of Blank Software's "Alchemy." March 18, 1987 Demonstration by Phil Burk and Larry Polansky of HMSL (Hierarchical Music Specification Language), which was developed and written at the Center for Contemporary Music at Mills College. November 19, 1980 Stewart Newfeld, the founder and president of Newtech Computer Systems, discussed the advent of microcomputers and personal computers in the field of new music.
