This hands-on class explores the basics of sound editing using Digidesigns' ProTools 8. This is one of the most advanced audio creation and production software systems, featuring dozens of virtual instruments and plug-ins, as well as scoring and MIDI features. This class will train on ProTools LE for both the Digidesign and M-Audio versions.
Gisburg is a well-known instructor and audio engineer, who edited sound and music on films by John Torturro, Woody Allen, Ethan Coen, or Rob Marshall, working at New York's premier recording studios such as Sound One - Todd A.O., Goldcrest Post, or C.5.inc. As a composer, her own music is documented on 3 CDs on John Zorn's label Tzadik and as collaborator on many other CDs. She recently did the sound design for Deborah Kampeier's film HOUNDDOG.
