Visual artists of all kind are welcomed. We are going to explore how to take concepts from visual art and apply them to creation of music and sound art in Max/MSP. Topics covered will include turning photographs into music, converting motion and color from video into sound, and sculpting three dimensional soundscapes out of color, shapes, and film. The last portion of the class will focus on hands-on exercises customized for the skill level of each participant, and will make sure that everyone leaves with a set of patches to explore, perform with, and develop into complete works.
