AFTER THE APOCALYPSE

AFTER THE APOCALYPSE is a black & white, 16 mm, science fiction, feature length film about five survivors trying to make sense of a New World after a devastating urban catastrophe challenges all their human needs. It is a futuristic fable about five survivors trying to make sense of a NewWorld after a devastating urban catastrophe challenges all their human needs.

Set in a bleak, post-urban landscape in the aftermath of the Third World War. It is a strangely limited environment where a single woman and four men are forced to communicate without words as a result of the destructive gasses from the war. Their pasts were erased by the war, they must recreate their lives individually and collectively.

Yasuaki has been hiding since the war, but his first dayoutside finds him in danger. He is rescued and taught survival lessons by Zorikh, the over-protective/possessive husbnd of pregnant Jacqueline, the planet's last known female. Moises, a former clown, just wants to entertain and be accepted, but Zorikh prefers no other men get near Jacqueline. Sickness and power struggles threaten all human relationships, but in the end it is up to Yasuaki and his friend, Oscar, to rescue Jacqueline from the ailing Zorikh, and insure the survival of the human race.
