In this two hour guide participants will get an overview of the methods and tools available for sound synthesis, spatialization, and arrangement on the World Wide Web. The presentation will highlight key works that embody and predate web based musical performance as well as speculate on the possibility of new forms being enabled through technologies overlapping with machine learning and virtual world building.

Bio: Thomas Martinez is a New York City based artist working mostly through music and code. His projects often begin with a technological or psychoacoustic curiosity. He interested in algorithmic approaches to sound composition, simulations, and manifestations of identity, tradition and history in electronic culture.
