“Angela Ferraiolo is a computational artist and researcher whose live systems investigate how artificial forms acquire history, difference, and changing capacities over time. Her current work develops Constructed Sentience, a framework for exploring how computational entities may individuate through memory, constraint, instability, and sustained interaction. Rather than using computation to represent intelligence, she creates artworks in which form and behavior emerge through continued operation.

Ferraiolo began working with computational systems in game development and interactive media, including projects for Westwood Studios and Electronic Arts. Her work has been exhibited and presented internationally at SIGGRAPH, ISEA, EVA London, xCoAx, Nabi Art Center, the Computer Arts Society, and the New York Film Festival. She was recently artist-in-residence at the Intelligent Engineering Lab at Soka University in Tokyo.”
