Performance: “what’s in the heavens, what’s at your feet” by Lola Constantino
“what’s in the heavens, what’s at your feet” is an improvised audiovisual performance developed in Max/MSP/Jitter that uses sampled music, speech, and archival imagery to investigate the relationship between memory and the overconsumption of digital media. In this piece, fragmented speech and processed sounds are syncopated into evolving rhythms and frozen into time-stretched ambience to both decontextualize and fuse the samples into one evolving texture.

Exhibition: Outside Linear Time
Outside Linear Time is an exhibition of five artists who are exploring tactile landscapes where listening becomes a means of navigation, a re-structuring of one-self and of our systems of human and ecological resilience. Non-linear narratives explore materiality and physics, conditions of censorship and surveillance and epic tidal shifts. The works employ mechanical sound recording and reproduction, video processing and stop motion imaging and sound objects presented through binaural and multichannel sound, video and audience activated artworks.

Performance: Live Processing Paint and Sound: Liz Phillips and Heidi Howard
Harvestworks and Roulette are to co-present Live Processing Paint and Sound, a performance by pioneer of interactive sound art Liz Phillips and painter Heidi Howard. The program, presented as part of Harvestworks’ 50th anniversary celebration, will include an introduction by Harvestworks’ Interim Director Ivana Dama, followed by a conversation with Sanna Almajedi, Performance Curator at e-flux.
