Many of our clients just need a basic introduction to get started, and then like to focus on special needs pertaining to their project by taking our specialized classes or individual tutorials. We therefore decided to offer this 6hr introductory course for free, on a monthly basis. For those who need to have a more in-depth introductory training, we offer our one-on-one Certificate Study.

Max/MSP is a graphical programming language very well suited for any audio & visual application that goes far beyond the traditional options of off-the-shelf software. Max users are people who want to do things that go beyond the limitations of normal software. Max is a visual programming language — you connect objects together with patch cords to design what you want.

Restrictions:
- You have to sign up via email to hanst-at-harvestworks-dot-org, space is limited! Please wait for your confirmation before you show up. You can only take this class once.
- RSVPs before the official date & time the announcement is published on our website is not possible. Harvestworks Members will have advanced notice, and can signup from the moment they get the announcement via email.
- You may end up on a waiting list, and you might get a confirmation on a short notice if someone cancels. For that, please supply us with your cell phone number.
- You can only cancel the class until 12 noon the previous business day. If you do not show up to the class, you will loose the right to take future free classes.
- Please bring your laptop with Max/MSP/Jitter installed on it. If you do not own Max, please install the fully functional 30-day demo on your laptop. Please understand that we have currently just 3 laptops available, and can only use them if you do not own a laptop.
- Due to the long waiting list you may only take this class once.
