[July 11] Tommy Martinez – Live Video Manipulation in the MAX Programming Environment

In this 4 Hour workshop we will explore Live Video Manipulation in the Max Programming Environment. Participants will leave equipped with a collection of example programs and techniques for creating their own Interactive Video Experiences or VJ Performance Software. No previous programming experience is necessary to participate and is directed towards Computer Video or Sound Artists interested in adding a Live (2d or 3D) Visual component to their work.

Opening Sunday July 12 2015 – noon – 4 pm (RUN TIME OF PERFORMANCE), Harvestworks

BIO

Thomas Martinez is a New York City based artist and interaction designer from Los Angeles, CA. His work in multichannel sound, improvised guitar, video and custom software form a body that embraces the rising singularity between computer algorithms and acoustic (or real) material. He has performed and exhibited work at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Shanghai Biennal 2012, Harvestworks, and Microscope Gallery. He is currently a Software and Art Resident at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn, NY.
