July 14, 2021 @ 8 pm Distant Pairs with Laetitia Sonami and Viola Yip. ISSUE Project Room & Harvestworks are pleased to stream PineApple on a Lonely Island, the debut collaboration between experimental composer, improviser, sound artist, and instrument builder Viola Yip and sound artist, performer and instrument builder Laetitia Sonami. The duo’s debut work will stream on ISSUE’s site. FREE.

July 15, 2021 @ 8 pm Distant Pairs with Carmen Baliero and Cecilia Lopez. ISSUE Project Room & Harvestworks are pleased to stream AEROSILLA (el turismo posible), a new collaborative work by New York-based composer, musician and multimedia artist Cecilia Lopezand Buenos Aires-based composer and performer Carmen Baliero. Both born in Buenos Aires, the pair have an expansive collaborative history that spans decades. The duo’s new work will stream on ISSUE’s site. FREE.

July 16, 2021 @ 7 pm. A Friday Evening Performance on Governors Island of Walking in Azcapotzalco by Viv Corringham & Amanda Gutiérrez. This live duo performance uses 360 video, field recordings, voice and electronic voice processing to tell the story of their shared walk in Mexico City. Limited Seating. Sat and Sun May 8 – Aug 8, 2021 in Building 10a, Nolan Park, Governors Island. Produced by Harvestworks, this series of presentations, workshops, open studios and exhibitions aims to understand social and cultural changes reflected through the lens of art and artists. Artists include Dafna Naphtali, Jakob DwightJoseph MorrisCharlotte MundyAndrew Demirjian and Valérie HallierOpen Weekends from 11 am to 5 pm. Artist Night is Friday July 23rd from 6 – 9 pm with a performance by Dafna Naphtali and a talk by Andrew Demirijan. Tickets are not required.

July 10, 17, 24] Workshop: Creative Coding with Processing and Shaders. This FREE workshop series investigates how to code within the context of the visual arts.
