Sharing the day with Ginny Benson is George Moraitis, who will perform Topographical Amnesia, a collection of distinctive acoustic events that produces a temporal evolution of environmental transitions, creating a sonic cocoon that envelops the visitor. October 30, 2021 @ 3 pm. Island Time by Dan Joseph. In conjunction with his multi-channel installation Periodicity Piece #10, composer Dan Joseph (hammer dulcimer) will be joined by musicians J D Parran (winds), Tom Chiu (violin) and Danny Tunick (percussion) for a live performance that will augment the sounds of the installation and expand it throughout the Harvestworks house. October 30, 2021 @ 1:30 pm. Sharing the day with Dan Joseph is an Artist Talk by Matthew Goodheart, a composer and sound installation artist. Matthew will discuss his latest installation remnants that features an expansion of his electroacoustic technique of reembodied sound through the incorporation of bone-conducting headphones. The Workings exhibition is open to the public from 11 am – 5 pm Sat and Sun August 28 – October 31, 2021 in Building 10a, Nolan Park, Governors Island.
